Deimos Imaging

Deimos Imaging, a subsidiary of UrtheCast Corp. (Canada), is a Spanish company that, with a diverse suite of sensors in space, is helping usher in a new era of Earth Observation (EO). The German University of Technology

The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) is an Omani private university located in Halban. GUtech was founded in 2006 through a collaborative agreement between Omani founders and RWTH Aachen University in Germany. National Survey Authority

National Survey Authority of Sultanate of Oman has played a crucial role in designing the topographic maps and other tasks related to data, information, services and expertise. The National Survey Authority is committed to furthering geospatial technology for the nation building. It is its mission to optimize the use of geospatial information through communication, coordination and collaboration; and its vision is to take a leadership role in the provision of user focused, cost effective, and reliable, quality geospatial information for meeting sustainable national development. NSA has a full range of map production capabilities and it is willing to advise on all matters regarding topographic mapping and will endeavor to assist where possible in the provision of maps, data, information, services and expertise. NSA has recently launched strategic National level projects to improve the quality and accuracy of Geospatial Data and provide its customers with updated information both in digital and Hard copy form. These projects are the establishment of Oman National Continuous Operating Reference Stations Network (OMANCORSNET), the establishment of Oman National Geoid Model (OMANGEOID), the production of Topo50k & Topo100k Mapping, the preparation of Oman Geospatial Manual (OGM), and the production of Oman Road Atlas which was launched by NSA in October 2016.

NCSI

The establishment of the National Center for Statistics and Information follows the Supreme Council for Planning. The center has a legal personality and financial and administrative independence and be based in the governorate of Muscat. With the vision to Enhancing Knowledge, NCSI's mission is to promote and support the production of all official statistics and information to the highest scientific standards, professional ethics, and international best practice to use the latest communication tools and information technology to provide and facilitate the provision of neutral information in response to the requirements of users. NCSI is also responsible to establish Oman National Spatial Data Infrastructure. Oman NSDI Vision is to build a standardized Geo-Spatial Infrastructure to facilitate the access to an organized, standardized, and up-to-date sharable geospatial information for enabling a high quality government location based services and solutions and support the Digital Oman Strategy priorities and government missions efficiently and in secure way, with the Mission to coordinate, and support government & stakeholders' collaboration for better location based decisions and services by underlying a set of policies, technologies, data, standards, protocols and specifications.

NHO

Following the ministerial decision No.200/92 pertaining the formation of NHO on 15 SEP 92, Oman has joined in October of the same year IHO. While in 1998 she satisfied and signed UNCLOSE & SOLAS and then become a member in IMO. In the light of that, the government of Oman becomes accountable of the international community for hydrographic services of the standards and criteria set by these organizations. Since then RNO took full responsibility to provide national hydrographic services and support at all levels through harnessing all the capabilities and recourses to fulfill National requirements and meet the international treaties with regard to provision of highest standards of safe navigation in the Omani waters. The tasks and roles of NHO could be surrounding up in providing highest degree of safe navigation and safety of life at sea. Such tasks are not restricted on gathering hydrographic data, issuing of printed and electronic charts and navigational publications for each maritime area and Omani waters or maintaining The national hydrographic Archive, but they, tasks & roles, also included effective supervision of the responsibilities of the national committee for the hydrographic requirements as well as providing necessary support for Oman –literati- and maritime boundary declinations operations and promote national requirements for continental shelf extension.
