Haya Water
The Oman Wastewater Services Company (Haya Water) was established in December 2002 as a closed joint stock company fully owned by the government of the Sultanate of Oman. The company was awarded the concession right to operate the sanitation sector in Muscat Governorate by virtue of the Royal Decree No. 69/2005 in order to develop the sewerage system in Muscat Governorate. The company is taking steady steps towards the implementation of one of the most complex and largest engineering projects of its kind in the water reuse sector, as Haya Water is committed to achieve its main objective of “Making Muscat a Better City” through the enhancement of the health level for all its inhabitants through eliminating all causes of pollution resulting from the traditional sanitary drainage systems that cause diseases and epidemics, in addition to protecting the ground water resources against contamination as well as preserving the water resource which is considered as a national treasure that has to be preserved for the sake of the generations to come. Currently, the quantity of treated effluent is around 80.000 m3/day, produced by the Company through 12 treatment plants spreading across Muscat Governorate. And in order to increase the production capacity to become 220.000 m3 /day of treated effluent by 2018, the Company is in the process of building 5 new state-of-the- art treatment plants to replace the existing old treatment plants. Vision: To enable Muscat to become one of the top cities in the world by building and operating the most complex and technologically advanced water-reuse project that connects at least 80 % of the properties by the end of the year 2018. Ministry of Regional Municipality & Water Resources This Ministry's functions are set out in Royal Decree No. 55/2006 as follows:

National Hydrographic Office
The responsibility for the conduct and supervision of hydrographic surveying and charting delegated to the Royal Navy of Oman by ministerial decree in 1992. The primary purpose of the service is to provide the hydrographic products required to ensure the safety of navigation in Oman territorial waters and support naval operations. Secondary purposes are to supervise the standards of surveys in support of the national interest, hold the national archive of the hydrographic data and provide advice to government bodies with respect to the delimitation of maritime boundaries. The hydrographic service consists of the surveying units based at Said bin Sultan Naval Base and Oman National Hydrographic Office (ONHO). ROYAL NAVY OF OMAN HYDROGRAPHIC UNIT: The Royal Navy of Oman Hydrographic unit based in Said bin Sultan Naval Base at wudam and consists of three sections: Beach survey section; Coastal survey section; Data processing section; SURVEY VESSELS: The Royal Navy of Oman has three survey vessels capable of conducting fully digital surveys of inshore and offshore areas. RNOV AL MABRUKAH; RNOV AL MAKHIRAH; RNOV AL SEEB; OMAN NATIONAL HYDROGRAPHIC OFFICE: The National Hydrographic Office was established in 1995 with the task of producting charts and other nautical products in both digital and paper formats to internationally agreed standards which is entirely meet the needs of both civil and defense user.

National Survey Authority
The National Survey Authority (NSA) was established in October 1984 with responsibilities for all survey activities in the Sultanate of Oman and for assembling and maintaining the Sultanate's geographic archives. NSA has a full range of map production capabilities, from survey instruments for collecting details of natural and man-made features on the ground, to a large format, four color printing press for printing the final maps. NSA SERVICES: MAP CHECKING & APPROVAL: The National Survey Authority is responsible for ensuring that all maps covering the Sultanate, its borders and other geographic information are depicted correctly before publication in accordance with the Ministers Cabinet's decision number (9/2001). SUPPLY OF MAPS AND AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY: Road Maps & Town Plans; Maps for General Use; Maps for Developmental Use; Topographic Maps; Aerial Photography; Issue of Aerial photography Flight Clearances; Other Geographic Information: Geographic Materials Library within the National Survey Authority is a central source for reference materials in helping with many survey activities and mapping production. The library holds variety of geographic materials such as, conventional mapping, digital mapping, aerial photography, survey information, place names and documentary information. PRODUCTION CAPABILITIES: NSA has a full range of modern map production capabilities, from digital survey instruments, including GPS systems, for collecting details of natural and man-made features on the ground; digital photogrammetric instruments; digital cartography systems; to lithographic printing presses for printing the final maps. An increasing emphasis is being placed on computer-assisted techniques throughout the map making process as map production technology is leading to greater automation of routine manual processes. TRAINING: NSA is fully committed to Omanisation, and recognises that one of the keys to achievement of the goals of Omanisation is to develop the specialist skills of staff at all levels by providing proper and relevant training in the mapping sciences. The NSA's Topographic Institute is an approved EDEXCEL centre with the authority to run BTEC diploma courses and award its own BTEC Diplomas.

NCSI
The National Centre for Statistics and Information was established under the Royal Decree No. (31/ 2012).The Royal Decree No. (40/2014) further elaborates on the NCSI operation mechanism and structure, Roles and Responsibilities to produce efficiently and with minimum burden on respondents high-quality, trusted and authoritative statisticaland GeoSpatial information that are relevant, reliable and comparable, and to disseminate them in an impartial, independent and timely manner, making them available simultaneously to all government entities and Omani Community users. NCSI Mission is to
• Produce the official statistics for Sultanate of Oman, which will be used to support the decision and policy makers to formulate and design the adopted national policies and programs
• Establish National Spatial Data Infrastructure Directorate General for National Spatial Data Infrastructureat NCSI is responsible to establishNational Spatial Data Infrastructure as per mandate in coordination with National Survey Authority as strategic stakeholder. NSDI Vision is to build a standardized Geo-Spatial Infrastructure to facilitate the access to an organized, standardized, and up-to-date sharable geospatial information for enabling a high quality government location based services and solutions and support the Digital Oman Strategypriorities and government missions efficiently and in secure way, with the Mission to coordinate, and support government & stakeholders’ collaboration for better location based decisions and services by underlying a set of policies, technologies, data, standards, protocols and specifications.
